Studies in Job

I am back to teaching a women's Sunday School class after taking the summer off. We started back up in the book of JOB where we left off early in the summer. We have been reminded of Job's responses as one disaster after another comes to his life.
The only family member left was his wife, and three "friends" are on their way to "comfort" him. He loses all his material wealth and if that isn't bad enough he now has a disease that is so horrible that his friends don't recognize him even from a far.
It is interesting to note Job does not know what is going on behind the scenes and the discussion God has with satan.
We are going to take our time going through this book and will post here as we study this book each week.
Maybe you'd like to follow along.
We will be discussing Job 5-7 next week.

"In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong."

Job 1:22

"In all this Job did not sin with his lips."
Job 2:10

With "friends" like his, you sure wouldn't need enemies! It's a hard Book to read - what with all Job's sufferings and losses...but what promise of God's love and faithfulness it contains! Enjoy your study!
