What Shall I Wear Today?

As I wrote yesterday's post I was struck by Hebrews 12:1 that tells us how sin clings so closely to us. This comes after the writer has just taken us down the road of the faithful. I looked up cling to find out the definition:
to hold fast or adhere to something
and
to remain close, resist separation

So the battle is not with flesh and blood, but with the "cosmic powers, spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:10-12

If sin is still that close what are we to do? Just a few words from our Great God telling us we just can't sit idly by but need to put on Christ every second of our day, just as we put on our clothes to start another day. Are you putting on Christ?

"But put on the Lord Jesus Christ..." Romans 13:14
"...put on Christ." Galatians 3:27
"put on the new self..." Ephesians 4:24
"Put on the whole armor of God" is the HOW of putting on Jesus Christ EVERYDAY.
Ephesians 6:11

Every morning during my quiet time, I am reminded that all things go better if I start my day in God's Word...it IS my armor and it shields and protects me! Thank you Lord!
