Monday Musings

Very early yesterday morning, (Sunday), we took Justin to the airport to meet his early flight to begin his deployment and service for his country. When he received his orders about a month ago, I really thought on this day I would be a basket case. I wasn't and only attribute that to all the praying my brothers and sisters have done on my (our) behalf.
God, who is my creator, redeemer and sustainer answered prayers as we said good-bye to our first-born and only son.

Have there been tears? Yes
Have there been fears? Yes
Have my thoughts run wild with "what if"? Yes

But I know beyond a shadow of a doubt my God and Father is in control, He will watch over my son, and He loves him.
Thank you for praying, thank you for your thoughts and hugs, thank you for walking with me on this journey I call "walking with God", the sermon I heard yesterday morning. Notes to follow this week on that great sermon by my favorite pastor.

"...I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world."
Romans 1:8
