Home Again

This past week was a great time of visiting with my mom and sisters. It went too fast. I had a relaxing time of drinking coffee with friends, taking 2 mile walks with my mom on familiar country roads, made homemade salsa with a girlfriend finding tomato everywhere after we were done.

This weekend brings more leaving as my oldest daughter goes back to college. We've already moved one in so she could start volleyball practice and Justin heads into Iraq on Friday. That leaves just the three of us and our youngest starts 5th grade next week.

Sad?? A little. Happy? yes. Missing my older children? Yes. Trusting that God will be with them and draw them to Himself? Yes.

A roller coaster of emotions, but I go back to Ecclesiastes 3:1

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:"

Jesus loves me this I know and he will continue to do so.

And thank you to my husband who says go visit your mom and sisters and holds down the fort, keeps the house clean,(I think he had a little help), taxi's Lauren to her friends homes, and says welcome home when he picks me up from the airport. I am truly blessed.

Welcome home - it sounds like you had some great times!

Our children...they do grow up and leave, don't they? Off to their own life adventures while we sit and cheer them on from the spectator stands!

Glad you made it home safe and sound. I'm sure you're appreciated there too :). Tonight is salsa night. I'll be thinking of you. Last night I made 8 pints of homemade crockpot applesauce. Yum!
