Preaching to myself every day, sometimes throughout the day that my standing before my heavenly Father is because of Christ and Christ alone. Nothing I do earns me any favor with God. Only because of Jesus blood and his righteousness can I come boldly to the throne of grace. Whatever I may endeavor to do is the outworking of this truth in my life, the evidence of the gospel.

I have to remind myself of this all the time!
My problem is the opposite...I have no difficulty remembering that my salvation was bought with Christ's shed blood - I thank and praise Him for it all the time. My problem...my stubbornness, if you will, comes in being obedient. That I have to work on...am working on...sigh...
