The "D" Word

I have finished seven weeks of my better eating and more exercise adventure. Ok, you can call it a diet, my husband does! We are getting ready to be gone for a few days and he said to me when we were out that I should pick up some snacks for my diet! He is very thoughtful, so I let him call it a diet, I just don't like the word.
I have been able to get outside to walk many days during the week recently, even with thunderstorm this afternoon and snowflakes tonight, I am not going to let the weather slow me down. In a recent article from www.caloriecounter.com I was encouraged to read things I have already talked about.
  • After a certain age you gain 1-2 pounds a year that have a hard time coming off
  • Sleeping well promotes weight loss
  • Drink more water less soda and juice
  • Be wary of refined white foods
  • Eat Breakfast

I am still drinking coffee, 2 cups a day. Coffee is only a problem when you add a lot of sugar and high fat creamers. I like it black. In fact I visited Cafe Kubal in Syracuse over the weekend. It is next to Sacred Melody Bookstore on James street. If you are looking for a great cup of coffee where the coffee beans are roasted by the owners, you will want to try it out.
